Beware the courier pack!!

Beware the courier pack.

A NZ Couriers parcel was received here in the office this morning. In it was a small gift and a USB stick marked “presentation”.

Steve was a little unsure about where it had come from however and as a precaution, opened it on his tablet as opposed to his desktop. And you guessed it, it contained a virus.

Ransomware and hackers have stooped to a new low.

Needless to say we have now amended our internal policies to say that under no conditions is a memory stick or USB brought into the office by anyone, to be opened on any of our networked computers.

Please be warned.
